The Land of the Living

You may have noticed that it’s been a bit quiet around here for the past few weeks. There’s a nasty cold/respiratory bug rudely dropping in on Corvallis households unannounced, and sadly ours was no exception. It totally wiped me out and I spent awhile in the lovely cycle of cough, sleep, repeat before Andrew succumbed as well. So, it’s been a period of rest as I (rather impatiently) waited to return to health and to a functioning brain. There was lots of soup and watching episodes of ‘Poirot’ on Netflix.

The dogs were excellent nurses. Their affinity for napping made it encouraged me to stay in bed and rest (that, and the fact that I felt too tired to move). I’m finally back to my old self and ready to jump back into the land of the living. We had some fun adventures before getting sick that I’m looking forward to sharing with you over the next few posts. In the meantime, here’s a little slice of life from the Hunt hounds who always do their very best to put a smile on my face. Enjoy!
